The Russian Canoe and Kayak Federation, The Netherlands Canoeing and Kayaking National Teams or Primorsky’s Canoe Regional Federation, amongst many other clubs and teams, have chosen our great destinations for kayak camps, trusting our clear understanding of the Canoeing and Kayaking own specifications and needs.



Banyoles became well-known as the Barcelona 1992 Olympic Games Rowing venue. Since then it has been a favourite location for crews and has hosted several international rowing events such as the Rowing World Cup 2009Kayak Marathon World Championship 2010 and Coupe de la Jeunesse 2012.

Located in the centre of the Girona province, just over an hour away from Barcelona, the Lake town of Banyoles is considered one of the most attractive Rowing camp bases in Europe.

The magnificient Lake training conditions, the splendour of the surroundings and the mild climate and easy access, make Banyoles an ideal spot for any rowing athlete.

You can fly from many cities in Europe to Girona – Costa Brava Airport, Perpignan Airport or Barcelona International Airport, all of which are a short drive away.

Sevilla is the fourth largest Spanish city and the capital of Andalucía, in the south of Spain.

Because of its geographical location, it enjoys an exceptional climate with mild temperatures all year round suitable for practising a large number of different sports.

The Guadalquivir river crosses the whole city and is considered one of the best places to practise kayak and canoeing.

There are extensive leisure, cultural and gastronomic options to complement the sporting facilities.

Sevilla’s rowing residence has room for more than 200 guests and includes all the necessary services to ensure maximum comfort for all athletes.

Mequinensa is a small and friendly town located in the far east of the Aragon region. It is an unusual location set in a very peculiar landscape.

Visiting clubs enjoy this venue’s peace and quiet to be able to focus solely on training, although a variety of optional activities are on offer within short distance.

The regatta course is based on a large artificial lake linking to a massive stretch of river, off the reservoir. Oxford University trains here often, attracted by Mequinensa’s large amount of calm waters.

The city of Amposta, south of Barcelona, is also the gateway to the Ebre Delta, a Natural Park rich in fauna and nature.

The natural landscape is one of the most outstanding attractions and visitors are often surprised and impressed by views of endless rice fields that change with the seasons.

Amposta was awarded the DTE (Sporting Tourist Destination) seal of approval in 2012 in recognition of its excellence as a flat water rowing centre. The facilities at the Olympic Rowing Centre provide the finest conditions for both dryland and on-water training.

Moreover, many international rowing teams come to Amposta looking for fine Long Distance training conditions.

Tobi Schad training camp in Amposta



Athletes visiting Amposta can be lodged at a magnificient nearby CTD (Centro de Tecnificación Deportiva) sports centre.

This sports residence provides the necessary facilities and services for high-performance training.

Castelldefels is a coastal town located very near Barcelona.

Extensive beaches, sunny weather and easy access to the big city are its main attractions, alongside the Catalan Olympic Channel.

The Chanel facilities, which were built for the 1992 Olympics, cover an area of 48 hectares.

Their chief feature is the artificial canal for canoeing competitions. On one side is the control tower, the entrance building and the public seating area (with bar, offices, store rooms and services), and on the other the changing rooms, a gym and the boathouses.

La Seu d'Urgell

Located in the Catalan Pyrenees and overlooked to the southeast by the spectacular Sierra de Cadí mountains, La Seu d’Urgell is the most important city in the northern part of the province of Lleida.

La Seu was one of the secondary Olympic venues of the 1992 Games and was awarded DTE (Sporting Tourist Destination) status in 2006. The Segre Olympic park hosts many of the world’s main withewater competitions, like The ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships, held at the venue twice, first in 1999 and also in 2009.

White Water Kayakers can use a charming family-run lodge very near the training venue and the town centre that ensures a relaxed and peaceful atmosphere.

Sort is an ideal and celebrated destination for adventure sports because of its microclimate – a yearly average temperature of 12.5ºC – and also because it is a traditionally friendly region with an excellent cuisine.

Nature, culture and sport define this fantastic small mountain town.

L’AigüerolaSlalom Course in Sort is in the river section that runs right through the heart of the town. The course was built in 1993 and has a level of difficulty graded as Class III.

The main features of the town are its navigable waters at any time of the year and permanent training and competition facilities for slalom.

The ICF Wildwater Canoeing World Championship was held here in 2010.

Kayakers usually stay in the fully equipped sports hostel.

Being very close to the training venue, it is an ideal setting for any visit. Both services and management are focused on meeting the needs of sportspeople.
